FC HALIFAX TOWN have signed England U20 international goalkeeper Russell Griffiths on loan from Premier League side Everton.
Griffiths has already spent loan spells at Northwich Victoria and more recently Colwyn Bay this season and the young Three Lions stopper is in the U20 squad to face France next week.
He has originally arrived at the Shay for a month and boss Darren Kelly will hope the move leads to a tighter defensive record.
The Shaymen have conceded 14 times in their past four games – all defeats – and are currently bottom of the Vanarama National League.
Meanwhile, Halifax have been ordered to pay £8,000 for the services of midfielder Kingsley James following his summer switch from league rivals Chester.
An FA tribunal ruled that Chester would receive the fee and a 20 per cent sell-on clause for the England C man after his move in July.
