NICKY LAW wants his Alfreton Town side to make it third time lucky when they face National League North rivals Nuneaton Town on Saturday.
The Reds have faced Nuneaton – a team they were relegated alongside last season – twice this term in the league and FA Trophy and have lost both times.
However, Law’s side are a different animal now compared to earlier in the season and they are currently on a three game winning streak which has pushed them up to 11th in the table.
Law said: “We have played them twice and they have beat us twice but we are a different proposition now so hopefully when they come it will be a different game for them and it is a game we are confident we can go and win” said Law.
“We had a disaster when we took four points out of 30 but we have given ourselves a chance again with the run we are on. When you are losing games it is always fine lines but we have turned the mentality around.
“Our aim is to get to the 45-point mark, that is what (tally) stayed in the league last year. That is our first goal and we take what comes. But, if we continue to play like we are doing, who knows? We are a match for anybody in this division”
