KIDDERMINSTER HARRIERS have received some more good news with midfield duo Ousmane Fane and Elton Ngwatala signing new deals with the club.
The National League strugglers have won three league games in a row to climb off the bottom of the table and are now seven points adrift of safety.
The French duo have impressed for Kiddy since joining in January and have signed fresh deals to remain in Worcestershire until the end of next season.
Chief executive and acting team boss, Colin Gordon, said: “These two lads have worked incredibly hard since coming into the team and whilst it’s great for the club to tie them down, it’s a good reward for them, too.
“It’s important to point out that a lot of credit should go to Dave Hockaday for identifying them as targets and doing a lot of work to bring them here – they’ve made a massive difference.”
Ngwatala is currently out with a knee injury and is set to see a surgeon shortly but Gordon added: “Elton had performed terrifically so there was never a problem with extending his contract – we made a commitment to a player and we happy to see that through because it’s the right thing to do and because he’s a part of our future here.”
Kiddy have also extended the youth loan of midfielder Ben Whitfield from Premier League side Bournemouth until the end of the season.
