WOKING‘S director of football Geoff Chapple says the dispute over the management and player bonuses at Kingfield has been resolved.
The Cards were beaten 1-0 by Guiseley in the National League on Saturday and boss Garry Hill, as well as his players, were unavailable for comment afterwards.
It then emerged that Woking coaches and players were involved in a dispute over potential bonuses after being told at the start of the season they would be paid as normal.
However, BBC Surrey claimed that the Cards board recently told the management and squad that they would only be paid bonuses if they finished in the top five
The issue now looks to have been resolved with Chapple saying: “Following a meeting with the team management and players early this morning, I am happy to report that the issue of the players’ bonus has now been resolved, with agreement by all.
“I would personally like to thank the team management and the players for their time, patience and understanding.
“As this is a sensitive issue that is now closed, we will not be making any further statements.”
Surrey-based business Ashley Read submitted a statement of intent to buy the club back in November but that move broke down last month.
