STEVE HOUSHAM has started to mould his North Ferriby United squad for next season, bringing in two new faces and securing Louis Bruce and Danny Clarke on new deals.
Housham, who replaced Billy Heath as Villagers boss last week, has made his first signings after the departures of a number of last season’s promotion winning squad.
Striker Conor Robinson became his first summer signing on Tuesday and was closely followed by the addition of midfielder Simon Russell.
Robinson, 21, joins Ferriby from Lincoln City having played 17 times for the Imps last season and Housham said: “Conor is potentially a very good young kid with plenty of pace and we are delighted to have him on board.”
Russell, meanwhile, is no stranger to Housham having played under him last season at Gainsborough Trinity.
The 31-year-old started his career at Hull and has plenty of experience in Non-League‘s top flight with Kidderminster, York City, Lincoln and Cambridge United.
Despite losing full-back Josh Wilde, striker Tom Denton and captain Liam King to Heath’s new side FC Halifax Town, Housham has secured Clarke for next season.
The midfielder, pictured above, has become a fans’ favourite over the past four years, scoring 30 times in just over 200 appearances for the Villagers.
Young defender Bruce, who only made three starts in the National League North last season, has also signed up.
