FOREST GREEN ROVERS forward Kurtis Guthrie has earned a move back into the Football League with Colchester United.
The 23-year-old has put pen to paper on a two-year deal with the League Two side after they agreed an undisclosed fee with Rovers.
The Jersey-born attacker started his career on the island with St Clement and Trinity before moving to England in 2011 to sign for Accrington Stanley.
After failing to break into the first team at Accrington, Guthrie was released after just one season and following a brief spell at Bath, signed for Welling United in October 2012.
Guthrie impressed with the Wings, helping them to the Conference South title in 2012-13, and was snapped up by Forest Green in May 2014.
He scored 12 goals and contributed seven assists last season as Rovers lost in the National League promotion final to Grimsby Town.
The England C man scored 20 goals in 92 appearances for the Gloucestershire outfit and has done enough to earn another chance in the Football League.
