Striker Stefan Moore agrees new deal with Solihull Moors

EXPERIENCED striker Stefan Moore has agreed a new deal at as the club prepare for their first ever season in ‘s top flight.

The 32-year-old signed for the Moors in December 2014 and scored 12 goals in the North last season as they romped to the title.

The ex-Aston Villa youngster earned League experience with Queens Park Rangers, Port Vale and Walsall before dropping into Non-League.

He earned a reputation as one of the most prolific forwards in Non-League during spells at , , and before his move to Solihull.

Moors boss Marcus Bignot told the club’s website: “We’re really pleased with how Stef has returned to pre-season physically. He looks sharp and has really impressed the staff with his performances against Oxford and Birmingham.

Solihull have also announced the signing of youngster Charlie Morris from Step 5 side Boldmere St Michaels.

The 18-year-old Wolves academy product was named Manager’s Player of the Year last season by Boldmere boss Stuart Grosvenor and has now been given the chance to make the step up to the National League.

Bignot added: “I am pleased to have been able to sign Charlie Morris this week. He’s only 18 years of age and has been with us since the start of pre-season training.

“Ross Thorpe, our recruitment and development officer, brought Charlie to my attention last season. The attitude and character that he has displayed during pre-season and his performance levels in the last two games have warranted a contract.

“This is a great opportunity for him to continue to push on and really make his mark in the game. I am looking forward to working with him during the weeks and months ahead.

“We would like to go on record in thanking Stuart Grosvenor and Boldmere St Michaels FC in their support and their understanding for Charlie’s further development in making the move over to the Moors.”
