JAMES NORWOOD is targeting a return to the Football League after signing a new two-and-a-half year deal with Tranmere Rovers.
The striker's current deal was due to expire at the end of the season but boss Micky Mellon has ensured Norwood will remain at Prenton Park.
The former Forest Green, Exeter and Eastbourne Town man joined Rovers in the summer of 2015, becoming their first signing after relegation from League Two.
Norwood has quickly become a fans' favourite at Prenton Park and scored 21 times last term as he was named player of the season by the club's supporters.
