DANNY COWLEY says he has fallen in love with Lincoln City after he and his brother Nicky were handed extended deals until May 2021.
Danny and assistant Nicky joined the Imps in the summer after guiding unfancied Braintree Town to third in the National League last season.
The brothers have turned Lincoln around in their brief time at Sincil Bank, with the Imps currently top of the league and looking forward to a home game against Championship club Ipswich Town in the FA Cup.
The managerial pair have been linked with a number of Football League jobs including at rivals Grimsby Town and Notts County but they have always expressed their intentions to remain at Lincoln.
And their loyalty has been rewarded with extended deals that will see them remain at Sincil Bank for at least another four-and-a-half years.
Boss Danny Cowley said: “I’d like to thank all of the Lincoln City supporters for all of their kind messages and we’re delighted to sign new deals – it’s a club we’ve fallen in love with.
“We thank everyone for the commitment and loyalty that they’ve shown and we’re really looking forward to the successes to come.”
Chairman Bob Dorrian added: “I am absolutely delighted to announce that we have secured the management team of Danny and Nicky Cowley for a further three years.
“We believe that this is a great day for the Club in terms of continuity and echoes the ambitions that Danny and Nicky also have for Lincoln City FC.”
In the Cowleys we trust!
