LUTON boss Paul Buckle has appointed summer signing Ronnie Henry as the club’s new captain.
The 28-year-old defender joined the Hatters from Stevenage in June, bringing to an end a seven-and-a-half year association with the Broadhall Way club.
He skippered Boro on numerous occasions during that time and has now been handed the armband at Kenilworth Road.
Speaking about his decision to name Henry as his skipper, Buckle told the club’s website: “It has been evident in all of our pre-season games where Ronnie has featured that he is a leader.
“He is a determined, vocal character and someone who really inspires those around him.
“We’re lucky to have him here, I’m delighted that he is and to be able to have a player like him as a captain is a huge bonus.
“His organisation skills are helping others around him and the fact he’s won two promotions in two of the last three seasons speaks volumes.”
