NEWPORT COUNTY have confirmed that Dave Boddy has been appointed as the club’s new chief executive.
Boddy relinquishes his role as assistant general manager of the Football Conference to take up the new position role at Rodney Parade.
The former Worcester City chairman and director has a wealth of experience in running football behind the scenes having also held commercial manager roles at Bromsgrove Rovers and Evesham United.
Boddy is looking forward to helping orchestrate the Exiles’growth and told their website: “I am really excited about the
opportunity of joining Newport County, the club and directors are well known to me from my role with the Conference.
“The potential of the club, particularly since the move to Rodney Parade, is there for all to see. My role will be to continue developing the infrastructure of the club off the field to help fulfil that enormous potential.”
