CAMBRIDGE UNITED defender Scott Garner’s loan spell at Lincoln City has been extended until the end of the season.
Garner was signed by then-Cambridge boss Jez George in the summer of 2012 but featured just five times in the Blue Square Bet Premier before falling out of favour.
Richard Money took over as U’s manager in October last year and a month later sent Garner on loan to Lincoln.
The Imps have used him sparingly since his arrival at Sincil Bank but were keen to keep hold of him and have now sealed a loan deal running until the climax of the 2012/13 campaign.
Speaking about the extension of the England C man’s deal, U’s director of football Jez George told the club’s website: “”This arrangement suits all parties; Lincoln were keen to keep hold of Scott, and his chances to play here are limited at the moment.
