BLACKPOOL midfielder Liam Tomsett is hoping he can help Hyde FC sneak into the Blue Square Bet Premier play-offs.
The 20-year-old spent the first half of the season on loan at Ewen Fields and has now extended his stay until the end of the season.
Hyde has exceeded many’s expectations this season – they currently lie 15th in the table after being tipped by most to drop straight back down following their promotion last term.
They may be 12 points off the play-off places but Tomsett says a top-five finish is not out of the question.
Speaking to the club’s website, he said: “If we can put another run in we can sneak into the play-offs but I’m happy with mid-table.”Tomsett went on to pay tribute to the Tigers’ fans, saying: “I just want to say thanks for making me so welcome! They’ve been excellent, especially the Stockport games that were probably the best!”
