MULTIMILLIONAIRE Les Scadding has taken over as chairman of Conference Premier club Newport County.
Scadding, who won 45 million pounds on the Euros Millions Lottery draw in 2009, became an Exiles board member last month.
He has now stepped up into the top role at Rodney Parade and is looking forward to a new chapter in his life in charge of the Exiles.
Speaking to the South Wales Argus, Scadding said: “I have no airs or graces and I love Newport County and want to continue supporting the club, and I think if I can do this now, it’s ideal.
“I’ve had a great chance in life, I’ve retired early, I don’t have to work, I can do what I want and enjoy myself if I want. But my time spare, I wanted a passion to fill it and that’s Newport County.”
