BARROW have brought Max Johnson to Holker Street to replace Shaun Pearson as the club’s back up goalkeeper.
Pearson had his Bluebirds deal cancelled by mutual consent on Tuesday in order to allow him to move to Australia to continue his playing career there.
His replacement, 22-year-old Johnson, coaches youth team players at Manchester City and has previously represented Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Blyth Spartans and Woodley Sports.
The youngster will serve as back up for first-choice keeper Danny Hurst.
Barrow, who are currently second bottom of the Blue Square Bet Premier, take on 13th-placed Tamworth tomorrow – a game you can read about in Sunday’s edition of The Non-League Paper.
