GATESHEAD defender Carl Magnay has been ruled out for three weeks with ankle ligament damage.
The former Chelsea youngster, who has made over 25 appearances for the Heed this term, had to be stretchered off in the second-half of his side’s 0-0 draw with AFC Telford United on Wednesday night.
A scan has confirmed ligament damage and he will now be sidelined until the first week of April.
Meanwhile, Heed boss Anth Smith has drafted in Middlesbrough attacker Jake Fowler in on loan.
The 19-year-old – an England international at Under-16 and Under-17 level – joins the Heed on a one-month deal.
