JUSTIN EDINBURGH has told four members of his squad that they are surplus to requirements at Newport County and will leave this summer.
Goalkeeper Joe Perry, defender Michael Boateng and Will Evans, and frontman Jake Harris received the news just days before the club’s trip to Wembley for the Conference Premier promotion final on Sunday.
Speaking about his decision to release the quartet, Edinburgh said: “All four have been totally professional in everything they did at the club and some tough decisions had to be made.
“It’s times like this that I don’t enjoy being a manager but I know they will be an asset elsewhere and I wish them the very best for the future, they have done the club proud.”
