DALE BELFORD has been handed a new one-year contract as manager of Tamworth as a reward for keeping them in Conference Premier.
Goalkeeper Belford, pictured above, took over as the club’s caretaker manager for a third time following the departure of Marcus Law in January this year.
On this occasion he managed to steer the club to a 19th-place finish, five points clear of the bottom four.
He has now been given the opportunity to build his own squad over the summer and lead the Lambs to a higher finishing position next term.
Belford, 45, will be assisted by the man who he has worked alongside for the past three months, Scott Lindsey.
Lindsey, below, represented the Lambs as a player in the early 1990s and has held coaching positions with both Lincoln City and Gillingham.
