CHESTER FC goalkeeper John Danby has committed his short-term future to the newly-promoted Conference Premier side.
Danby joined the Blues in the summer of 2011 from Eastwood Town having previously played for Chester City between 2006 and 2010.
He has since enjoyed back-to-back promotions with Neil Young’s men and won The Non-League Paper’s Goalkeeper of the Year in 2012.
The former Kidderminster custodian has now put pen-to-paper on a new one-year deal and Blues boss Young is delighted to have him on board for the 2013/14 campaign.
Speaking to the club’s website, Young said: “John is an integral part of what we have achieved here and will be a major player for us going into the challenge of the Conference.
“Good goalkeepers are very hard to find and John’s consistency since he has been unbelievable since he has been here and he has also great around the dressing room.”
