Brimscombe & Thrupp face five games in eight games

Premier side ‘s physio will be kept busy with the club having five games scheduled in eight days.

Monday night’s league fixture against Highmoor-Ibis was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch and it means the Lilywhites’ calendar just got even more packed.

They travel to Saints on Wednesday (April 13) in the Bluefin Sports Challenge Cup semi-final before league games against on Saturday (April 16) and Monday against (April 18).

There’s no respite for the club, however, with the Highmoor-Ibis game now rearranged for next Wednesday (April 20) before their trip to 24 hours later (April 21) to take on Ascot United in the Floodlit Cup final.

The club tweeted: “Tonight’s game at the Meadow v Highmoor Ibis is OFF pitch waterlogged #springishere

“(Highmoor-Ibis game) rescheduled for 20th, the day before our cup final against Ascot. Absolute joke!

“What’s happened to the safety of players, surely the Hellenic League must take this into consideration?”
