RICHARD TOWERS has resigned from his position as manager of Sussex County League Division One side Selsey FC.
A statement announcing his departure said: “Richard has said that he feels he is not in the right frame of mind to carry on with the job and is not getting the enjoyment from the position of first team manager that he feels he should.
“He has told the club that he does not feel totally committed to the position and is not looking to continue in football management.
“He had a health problem a while back and he feels this may have had an effect on the way he has been doing the job.
“It needs to be made clear that Richard is in good health, but, by his own admission he must take things a bit easier than perhaps he used to.
“The club would like to thank Richard for his time and effort whilst he has been manager of Selsey Football Club and we wish him well for the future.”
Tower leaves the club 18th in the table with 15 points from their opening 15 league fixtures.
