ANDY WYTON has taken sole charge of West Midlands League Premier Division side Dudley Town following the resignation of his joint-manager Andy Burgess.
Burgess was appointed boss of the Robins in June 2011 and guided them to a seventh-place finish in the league last term.
He masterminded a huge FA Cup shock in August this year when his side beat Step 4 opposition in the form of Halesowen Town.
However, he has now stepped down, leaving Wyton to manage the club on his own.
Speaking about the Wyton taking over, Dudley chairman Stephen Austin said: “Andy was an obvious and popular choice for both the playing squad and committee.
“His record is already impressive, staring with three straight away victories scoring twelve goals in the process.
“We look forward to a positive second half to the season.”
