MATT CARMICHAEL has left his position as manager of Lincoln Moorlands Railway after less than four months in the role.
The Northern Counties East League Premier club have declined to explain the reasons behind the former Lincoln City, Scunthorpe United and Mansfield Town player’s departure.
Speaking about the situation, club secretary Graham Peck said: “It is disappointing that this has happened and we are not prepared to say anymore as to the reasons why.
“We want to thank Matt for all the effort he has put in since his appointment.
“In the interim we have asked assistant manager Mostyn Chester to take charge of the team and he will be assisted by Gavin Smith and Dale Foxcroft Manager of the Under 16’s, both of whom will bring a wealth of experience to the set up.
“The club now has to move on and start picking up points. We have 3 games in seven days including a FA Vase tie and we have to concentrate on these games for now.”
