League Cup Semi Finals
The League’s top two teams – Holt United and Portland United – will contest the League Cup final in April.
That’s following Holt United’s 2-0 win against their visitors Hamworthy Recreation and Portland’s 5-4 victory at Weymouth FC Reserves.
Holt secured their spot in the final thanks to first-half goals from Peter Richmond-Holt and Liam McGlynn.
On target in Portland’s success were Ashley Smith, Robert Maxsted, Lewis Whyton, Scott Henley and Adam Linaker
League
Blandford United moved up a couple places to ninth following their odd-goal-in-five win against Shaftesbury Town. United’s goals came from Luke Crane, Robert Manson and an own goal.
Swanage Town & Herston moved out of the bottom three by beating Hamworthy United Reserves 3-2. Their goalscorers were Robert Teppett, Aaron Scott and Adam Richards. Scoring the Hammers’ consolation goals were Dan Manuel and Sean Gallager.
Tintinhull returned to winner ways with a 2-1 victory over their visitors Merley Cobham Sports. They stay in sixth thanks to goals from Luke Jennings and Jon Ritchie.
Chickerall United stay in the top five despite playing out a goalless draw with their visitors from Cranborne.
Poole Borough move off the foot of the table after their 4-2 victory against Parley Sports. Jordan Basing bagged a hat-trick and George Waring also got on the scoresheet for Borough, while Matt Newbery and Tobias Holmes netted for Sports.
