MARK WILSON has quit as manager of East Midlands Counties club Borrowash Victoria.
During his time in charge of the club Wilson the Vics to their first silverware in almost a decade – the East Midlands Counties Cup in 2009 – and repeated that success in 2012.
He also guided them to second in the East Midlands Counties three times in the past four years and took them to the last 32 of the FA Vase this term.
The club currently lie third in the division, 19 points behind leaders Basford United, but were beaten 1-0 by bottom side Radford on Tuesday night.
Wilson feels it’s time to let someone else take up the mantle and for him to focus on his family and personal life.
Speaking to This Is Derby, he said: “The balance of family life and steering a business through a recession has got to take priority.
“I’m proud of what I’ve achieved at Borrowash Victoria but feel that now is the right time to take a break.”
