The four Non-League players in the running for the Budweiser Player of the Round award for The FA Cup Second Round Qualifying have been revealed.
The first name on the list is Conference North Player of the Month for September, Elliott Durrell.
Durrell has enjoyed a fantastic start to the 2013/14 campaign with Hednesford Town and was the Pitmen’s key man in their 3-1 victory over his former club AFC Telford United at the weekend.
After seeing his side fall behind, Durrell equalised with a free-kick before setting up Aaron Rey to put the Pitmen ahead.
He then completed a great day’s work by netting a second free-kick via a deflection – his 100th goal for the club.
Michael Oates of Trafford is the second nominee after helping his side see off higher division opposition in the form of Altrincham.
Oates scored shortly after the hour mark to give Trafford, who play in the Northern Premier League Premier Division, a 2-1 victory over their Conference North opponents.
Vauxhall Motors forward Jordan Rugg bagged a quickfire hat-trick in his side’s 4-0 win over Chorley to earn himself a nomination from BT Sport’s Jake Humphrey.
All three of his goals came between the 76th and 84th minutes and have secured the Motormen an away tie at Carlton Town in the next round.
The final name on the four-man shortlist is Bishop Stortford’s Kyle Vassell.
The ex-Brentford man scored four times for the Bishops in their 5-0 hammering of Ryman Premier League side Hendon.
