DOVER ATHLETIC have signed former Portsmouth and England youth international Sam Magri after he impressed whilst on trial.
The 21-year-old started out at Pompey and had an unsuccessful trial at Liverpool. He made his only appearance for the south coast club in the League Cup against Plymouth in August 2012.
After being released by Portsmouth just weeks later, he signed a two-year deal with Queens Park Rangers but failed to make a senior appearance and spent time on loan at Nuneaton Town.
But he has now earned a deal with the Vanarama National League Whites after impressing in friendly victories over Wealdstone and Eastbourne Borough.
Magri also has international experience, having played for England from U16 through to U19 level.
