King Dethroned By Macclesfield Town

TOWN have sacked manager Steve King and his assistant Pablo Asensio.

Former , Northwich and boss King took over as Silkmen boss in May last year and got off to a decent start to the Blue Square Bet Premier campaign.

However, since the first few weeks of the season they have never looked like challenging for automatic promotion. They now they lie 12 points off the play-off places and are destined for another year at level.

King has paid the price for that but does leave Moss Ross with some good memories of what has been a historic season for the Cheshire outfit.
