STRIKER Andre Gray has been rewarded for his two-goal contribution in Luton Town’s FA Cup Forth Round Qualifying victory over Cambridge United.
The 21-year-old put his side 1-0 up within seven minutes and continued to dominate the game before setting up Jon Shaw, who netted Luton’s second and put the game beyond the U’s.
Gray was subsequently voted Player of the Round, receiving 41 per cent on votes cast to beat Mansfield Town’s Jake Speight, Danny Hurst of Barrow, Hereford forward Ryan Bowman and Hasting United’s Lee Carey to the prize.
The former Hinckley man wins a commemorative trophy and will be a guest of The FA at the final of The FA Cup next May.
