A WINDING-UP petition brought by former boss Martin Foyle has been adjourned for 28 days after Hereford United club lawyers claimed they were looking into administration or entering a company voluntary arrangement (CVA).
The petition was heard at the Royal Court of Justice in London on Monday and the Bulls have been given until June 30 to try and agree an outcome with Foyle, who is now in charge of Southport.
Club lawyers informed registrar Stephen Baister that the Edgar Street outfit were bought last week and that new owners are investigation administration or a CVA.
The Bulls also face a race against time ahead of the Football Conference AGM on Saturday. The league say they will need assurances that the club can continue next season.
If the Conference are not convinced, relegated Chester could be in line for a reprieve and would be moved back up to Non-League‘s top-tier.
A Hereford club statement read: “The winding up petition brought by Martin Foyle against Hereford United has been heard in the High Courts this (Monday) morning and has been adjourned for 28 days.
“The adjournment will give both sides time to continue negotiations.”
Meanwhile, Edgar Street director Dave Preedy has decided to step down from his position.
