NORTH FERRIBY UNITED manager Billy Heath and assistant Mark Carroll have signed new three-and-a-half year deals that will keep them at the Villagers until the end of the 2018-19 season.
The new contracts are a reward for the management team after a successful last four years that culminated in North Ferriby winning the FA Trophy at Wembley last season.
The Villagers were just above the relegation zone in the Evo-Stik NPL Premier when Heath and Carroll took over in October 2011 but the pair have transformed the club.
In 2012-13 they won the league and they’ve been a force in the National League North since. They finished second in their first season at Step 2 before losing in the play-offs and currently sit second in the league.
Co-owner Eman Forster said: “We are delighted that Billy and Mark have committed themselves to the club for the next three-and-a-half years.
“Their new contracts will allow them and the club to build on the strong foundations that now exist at North Ferriby United.”
Heath added: “We are both delighted to sign the contracts. This is a great club and we are pleased that we will be staying for a number of years. The contracts provide stability for the club and, obviously, for Mark and myself.
“We can now plan ahead as we look to build on our success over the last four years as we look to build on the recent successes.”
Meanwhile, the Villagers presented fans’ favourite Russell Fry with a framed memento after Saturday’s clash with Tamworth to mark his 400th game for the club.
Fry made his debut for North Ferriby against Eastwood Town in November 2007 and boss Heath said: “He is a real professional, Russ goes about everything in the correct manner and is wonderful to work with.
“Russ is a marvellous person on and off the field. He is the only player still here from when Bobby Carroll and myself took charge.
“He is a skilful and thoughtful player and it’s a tribute to him that he has reached 400 games for the club in an era when players readily change clubs.”
