Hastings United plot new promotion push next season

Hastings United

Hastings United are looking to immediately bounce back from the disappointment of missing out on promotion to Step 3 last season with the signing of two highly rated attacking players.
Over the weekend they boosted their forward line with the signing of Brightlingsea Regent winger Aaron Condon and Lewes striker Ben Pope.
Condon has been with Regent for three years where he had a scoring record of almost a goal every two games despite often playing for on the wing and will add a real sense of steel to Hastings’ attacking line up.
Last season saw the attacker get another impressive campaign under his belt as he found the back of the net fourteen times to help Regent to a 13th place finish in the Bostik Premier League.
Pope came to prominence at Worthing, where he was being scouted by a number of professional clubs before suffering a nasty injury which ruled him out for almost a year.
Last season he joined Burgess Hill Town, scoring nine goals, before moving to Lewes, where he got four more in fourteen matches.
Hastings qualified for the end of season play-offs last season after finishing in 3rd position in the Bostik South East league, however they fell to a disappointing 3-2 loss at home to Ashford United at the semi-final stage as their campaign came to a crashing end.
