CAMBRIDGE UNITED have loaned out defender Scott Garner to Boston United until January.
Garner, 23, had spells with Leicester City, Ilkeston, Mansfield and Grimsby prior to signing for Cambridge in the summer of 2012.
He has since only made a handful of first-team appearances for the U’s and spent part of last season out on loan at their Conference Premier rivals Lincoln City.
On this occasion he will drop down a division to join the Pilgrims, who finished 16th in the Conference North last term.
Speaking about his arrival, Pilgrims boss Dennis Greene said: “Signing Scott is a real coup and we have had to be patient to get our man.
“It has once again demonstrated that you have to wait for quality signings on some occasions.
“I must thank Cambridge United for their assistance in helping the move taking place.”
