KIDDERMINSTER HARRIERS boss John Eustace says he’s in no rush to spend the extra cash raised for the club by their loyal supporters.
Around 200 Harriers fans donated to the ‘Give It 100% Campaign’ to boost the playing budget at Aggborough and give Eustace extra to work with.
The National League North club have confirmed £10,310 has been raised through offline donations as well as through the Crowdfunder website.
Eustace has thanked supporters for digging deep but has made clear that he won’t be splashing the cash for the sake of it.
Kiddy have had a promising season so far following last term’s disappointing relegation from Non-League‘s top tier. Harriers have won six of their last eight league games and currently sit in second behind leaders AFC Fylde, meaning there is no desperation from the management team to bring new faces into the club.
Eustace told the Kidderminster Shuttle: “We will spend the money when the time is right and when the right people are available for us. We won’t rush into anything
“I don’t have any irons in the fire at the moment and there are no offers in for our players either.
“The fans have been fantastic from day one. The club wouldn’t be where it was if it wasn’t for them. They make a big difference during games but their support with this is also very much appreciated.”
Kiddy welcome West Midlands rivals Nuneaton Town to Aggborough on Saturday, hoping to keep up their good form against a resurgent Boro outfit.
Tommy Wright’s side were beaten 4-0 at Salford City last weekend but had won five of their previous six games to climb up the National League North table.
“It will be a tough game for us because they have an experienced side,” Eustace added. “We aren’t worrying about anyone else but ourselves. We will take it one game at a time and concentrate on our own performances.”
