MARK LEES has joined Stockport County from their Skrill North rivals Stalybridge Celtic.
The 25-year-old defender, who featured 18 times for Celtic this season, says the vision of Hatters boss Alan Lord was key in bringing him to the club.
Speaking to the club’s website, Lees said: “When I spoke to the manager he sold the club and I was really impressed with his ideas and what he’s trying to do.
“I saw the team play on Tuesday night and was blown away by the size of the place and some of the football played.”
Lord is pleased to have brought in the former Hyde and Altrincham defender, who has been on his radar for some time.
The Hatters boss commented: “He’s a player I’ve admired for a long time and epitomises what I consider to be the right qualities that make a defender at this level.”
