ISHMAEL WELSH has been released by Conference South promotion hopefuls Chelmsford City.
Winger Welsh – formerly of Yeovil, Grays, Ebbsfleet and Lewes, has spent the past year with the Clarets and make over 20 appearances in that time.
However, due to new arrivals at Melbourne Park over the past month, the 25-year-old has been let go of by Clarets boss Glenn Pennyfather.
Pennyfather commented: “Ishmael is a super player and a great man and I’m sure he’ll go on to do elsewhere.
“We’ve brought some players in recently and I can’t, unfortunately, keep hold of everyone.
“Ish has been brilliant for us and I’d like to thank him for all his efforts.”
