WELL, here we are, our final update of the FNL 2013/14 season – and what a season it’s been!
Cambridge United’s 2-1 victory over Gateshead to secure promotion to the Football League through the Skrill Premier Play-Off final at Wembley put the seal on a thrilling FNL?campaign, which went right to the wire and involved a dramatic late twist.
Unsurprisingly, it was the End of Season bonus points which made all the difference to the final scores with points only up for grabs if the relevant teams were selected at the start of the season, back in August.
In total, for league and cup winner bonuses, a massive 1,850 points were at stake with relegation bonuses adding up to an equally crucial -700pts.
These bonuses went to the following clubs: Skrill Premier – Luton Town, Skrill North – AFC Telford Utd, Skrill South – Eastleigh, Evo-Stik Premier – Chorley, Ryman Premier – Wealdstone, Calor Premier – Hemel Hempstead Town, The Mixture – Cirencester Town, FA Trophy – Cambridge Utd, [Doodson] Evo-Stik League Cup – AFC Fylde, [Robert Dyas] Ryman League Cup – Maidstone Utd, [Red Insure] Calor League Cup – St Neots Town.
The End of Season bottom club bonuses go to the following clubs: Skrill Premier – Hyde, Skrill North – Workington, Skrill South – Dorchester Town, Evo-Stik Premier – Droylsden, Ryman Premier – Cray Wanderers, Calor Premier – Bashley, The Mixture – Just one bottom club Ashford Town (Middx).
