HIGHLY-RATED young striker Johan Ter Horst has completed a dream move to Premier League side Hull City from Folkestone Invicta.
The 18-year-old forward will officially join the Tigers in the summer on a three-year deal so will be able to stay and help Invicta’s quest for promotion to the Ryman Premier.
It as reported that Ter Horst had got scours flocking to Cheriton Road with Aston Villa interested among a number of Football League clubs.
However, Hull boss Steve Bruce has moved swiftly to sign the prospect for an undisclosed fee and Invicta manager Neil Cugley said: “He’s been with us since he was 12 and played in our youth teams
“I think he’ll go straight into their Under-21 team and get him stronger. Credit to the people who run our youth system. We’ve managed to get him this far and that’s pleasing.
“When he’s had that for a couple of years, I’m sure he’ll get stronger and quicker and hopefully kick on and be in the Hull side.
“We’re unbelievably proud that we’ve got someone from down here getting on in football, it’s really good. This doesn’t really happen to someone from Folkestone – we’re not the hotbed of football.
“He’s a lovely lad as well and has got good parents that have backed everything we’ve done and hopefully, in a few years, we’ll see him on the telly doing well for Hull.”
