HEREFORD UNITED have until April 7 to save the club following a winding-up order issued by HM Revenue and Customs.

The Bulls have until a week on Monday to clear unpaid tax of £78,000. Chairman David Keyte said last week that the club needed to find £300,000 just to see out the season.

At the club’s annual general meeting last week, it was reported that the Skrill Premier outfit made a loss £499,000 for the year ending April 2013.

Manager Martin Foyle also left and was replaced by youth team boss Peter Beadle with the Bulls just four points clear of the relegation zone.

Hereford’s home game against Grimsby on Saturday is ‘kids for a quid’ with the club also setting up donations on their online shop.

Director Dave Preedy said: “I know the players greatly appreciated the support shown to them on Saturday at Barnet and it would really boost them if everybody got behind Pete Beadle and them against Grimsby.

“We have seen a great response from supporters who have rallied round and have made donations via the Official Shop Site and in person, and would once again like to express our thanks to everyone who has rallied around.”
