MACCLESFIELD TOWN have boosted their attacking options by re-signing striker Matthew Barnes-Homer on loan from Conference South side Whitehawk.
Barnes-Homer enjoyed a fruitful campaign in 2012-13, scoring 21 goals for the Silkmen including two against Cardiff City as Macc made it to the FA Cup fourth round.
The forward went on to join Forest Green Rovers and Cambridge United before dropping down a division to link up with Whitwhawk.
The 28-year-old has struggled so far this season with the Hawks but has returned to the Moss Rose and to a Macclesfield side who sit tenth in the Conference.
Barnes-Homer said: “I’m really pleased to be here and to be honest I’d have liked to have joined in the summer after the trial.
“It’s been a while since I was here, but I enjoyed it here at Macclesfield, we had some great games that season and I’m looking forward to getting to work.
“I’ve really missed the day to day involvement of being at a full-time club, so I have enjoyed the couple of days I’ve been here so far and can’t wait to get fully back into full time football and earn myself a place in the side.”
