St Albans boss Ian Allinson is refusing to get carried away after his side won their fourth straight league game to put themselves firmly in the play-off picture.
The Saints secured an impressive 2-1 win over play-off rivals Braintree at Clarence Park on Easter Monday to move themselves up to fourth position, with just six games left to play.
Speaking to The Herts Advertiser ahead of Saturday’s home fixture against bottom of the table Whitehawk, Allinson said. “It’s in our hands but we’ll take each game as it comes; I’m not putting these boys under pressure.
“It would be great if we got in there at the end of the season, it will be great for the club and it would be great for these players.
“Lets just concentrate on Whitehawk on Saturday. They are fighting for their lives and Steve [King] has put a good side together and if we don’t approach it right, we’ll have a tough game.”
