FOUR Luton Town players have been placed on the transfer list as Hatters boss John Still looks to remould his squad ahead of next season’s Conference Premier campaign.
The most high-profile of the quartet is striker Scott Rendell, the man whose goal saw the Hatters claim an FA Cup victory over Premier League side Norwich City.
The former Peterborough United marksman is joined on the transfer list but defenders Lathaniel Rowe-Turner and Simon Ainge and goalkeeper Dean Brill.
Still says the decision to let the four players go was made so he has finances available to bring some fresh faces to Kenilworth Road.
Speaking to the club’s website, he said: “We’ve made four of the squad available for transfer because in our current situation we’d like to bring some more players in.
“It’s unfortunate, but, in the short time I’ve been here, I’ve had to assess quickly what we need.
“I think it is in the best interests of both the club and the players involved to find somewhere new.
“I wouldn’t want these players to stay here and stand still. All four have been model professionals who have trained extremely hard and given everything since I have been at the club. I have nothing but the utmost respect for each and everyone.
“However, I do feel we have the make these changes. It is a difficult decision but you have to make tough decisions in football.”
