STOCKPORT COUNTY will decide within the next 24 hours if the club can afford to remain full-time next season in the Conference North.
County sunk to one of the lowest points in their history on Saturday after a 4-0 defeat at Kidderminster Harriers saw the club who beat Manchester City only a decade ago slip into English football‘s sixth tier.
Manager Ian Bogie will meet with the his board or directors and learn if they club will become part-time following relegation from the Blue Square Bet Premier.
Bogie, who reveals all about the club’s demise and his plans for the club next season in Sunday’s NLP, said: “Saturday was one of this club’s darkest ever days – many will argue it was the darkest.
“Now we must build for the future and try to look forward. We need to take stock, and very soon.
“I will be meeting with the board either tonight or tomorrow morning and we will decide what is happening in regards to part-time football, or remaining full-time. It’s a big decision.
“Going down will cost the club a lot of money, that’s obvious. We need to find the best way to attack the Conference North but trust me when I tell you that I will produce a team that the fans will be proud of and one that can take Stockport County forward.”
I won’t set foot back into Edgeley park until Ryan McKnight is sacked.
