CENTRE-BACK Steve McNulty has signed a new two-year deal with Luton Town.
McNulty, 29, joined the Hatters from Fleetwood Town on the final day of the January transfer window and went on to make over 20 appearances for them.
He has now put pen-to-paper on a new two-year deal and says Luton boss John Still was a determining factor in him staying at Kenilworth Road.
Speaking to the club’s website, he said: “John’s said he wanted to keep me and once he said that I knew I wanted to stay. “The manager said from the outset he wanted me here so I didn’t speak to any other clubs. When he told me that it was a case of getting the deal done and signing the contract.”
And now the former Fleetwood man has his sights set on helping the Hatters back into the Football League.
“When I came here I thought we were going to win the league, and I 100 per cent thought we’d get in the play-offs at the very least,” he added.
“That didn’t happen so we need to knuckle down and push for promotion next year.”
