THE 32 Non-League clubs that were involved in last season’s FA Cup First Round will each receive a five-figure windfall.
Clubs hosting replays from the Third Round of the competition onwards each pay five per cent of their gate receipts into an FA Cup Pool.
Due to the fact that some of the countries biggest and best-supported clubs, such as Manchester United and Arsenal, were involved in replays this season the total amount in the pool was the largest its ever been.
Once the money is divided between the 32 clubs, each will receive the tidy sum of £11,313.
While this figure is dwarfed by the amount clubs such as Luton and Mansfield went on to make from their fantastic runs in the competition, it is a welcome bonus to all clubs and particularly useful for the likes of Gloucester City, who have struggled financially this term.
