Taylor Set For Cambridge United Switch

LEFT-BACK Greg Taylor has agreed a deal that will see him join Cambridge United once his Luton Town contract expires at the end of this month.

Taylor initially joined Luton on loan from in 2011 before signing a permanent deal with the Hatters in January 2012.

However, his time with them was punctuated by loan moves at and Mansfield, meaning he only amassed 30-odd appearances for the Kenilworth Road outfit.

He’s now set for a switch to the Abbey and says the club’s facilities and management team of Jez George and Richard Money were what made him choose the U’s.

Speaking to the club’s website, he said: “I’ve played here a few times and it’s always been one of my favourite grounds in the league – the pitch is immaculate and the fans are always noisy which is a big factor when you play against Cambridge.

“They (George and Money) were both very positive regarding where the club was heading, what they could offer me and where they saw the team going this season.”
