THE written reasons behind why Thurrock’s appeal against the points deduction that saw them relegated from the Ryman Premier League was dismissed have been released by an independent arbitration tribunal.
The Fleet were docked three points for fielding Joel Barnett while the striker was banned indefinitely for not paying his £16 share of the debt Wakefield Sunday side Wilton owed to the local FA after folding two years ago.
Thurrock first appealed to The FA and, following the FA’s rejection of that appeal, took the case to the Court of Arbitration.
Their case was heard on Monday and was subsequently dismissed the next day.
