CRAY WANDERERS boss Keith Bird has left the struggling Ryman Division One North side by mutual consent.
The Wands have won just two of their ten league games so far this season, losing seven times, after relegation from the Ryman Premier last term.
Bird’s final game in charge was Tuesday night’s disappointing 4-1 home defeat to Cheshunt and both parties agreed to go their separate ways with the club sitting third bottom.
Assistant manager Mike Paye and coach Gary Abbott have taken caretaker charge and will face their first game on Saturday at leaders Needham Market.
Wands chairman Gary Hillman said: “The club would like to thank Keith for all his hard work and effort over the last year and wish him all the best in the future.”
