PEACEHAVEN & Telscombe have moved quickly to name Simon Colbran as their new manager.
The Magpies were left without a boss on Tuesday as Darren Freeman quit to take over at Ryman Premier side Lewes.
The Ryman South club have wasted no time, turning to the former Chipstead, Redhill, Worthing and Horsham boss Colbran.
He left Chipstead at the end of August after a slow start to the season but he is now back in the dugout with the Magpies.
Due to family illness, his first game in charge will be the trip to Molesey next Saturday.
“I’m delighted to be taking over at Peacehaven,” he said.
“When I heard that Darren had left I was excited by the prospect of working at Peacehaven. I was born in Eastbourne and football is very close to my heart and I can’t wait to get going.”
Vice chair Sue Norwood said: “All of us at the club are looking forward to working with Simon and progressing up the table to gain Peacehaven promotion to the Ryman Premier.
“Simon has a good positive attitude and the drive to bring success to this football club.”
