FORMER Non-League stars Jamie Vardy and Charlie Austin have both been rewarded with call-ups to the England squad.
The pair will feature in the friendly against the Republic of Ireland on June 7 and the Euro 2016 qualifier against Slovenia on June 14.
Vardy, 28, helped Leicester to Premier League survival this season but originally made his name with Stocksbridge Park Steels, FC Halifax Town and Fleetwood Town. He was named the Non-League Player of the Year at our National Game Awards back in 2012.
Meanwhile, 25-year-old Austin has been called up after netting 17 times for relegated Queens Park Rangers. The forward started his career at Kintbury Rangers before starring for Hungerford Town and Poole Town.
